Life Behind The Badge

This week's show will focus on Life Behind the Badge. First Responders face special challenges - including heightened stress and pressure that can take a toll on mental and emotional well being. First responders include law enforcement, fire fighters, paramedics, EMT's and mobile crisis. They are our heroes. Do we treat them like heroes? Are are expectations of first responders too high? What are the perceptions of the family lives of first responders? How do we show are appreciation, or do we?

Our guest will be Sharon Knutson-Felix, Executive Director of 100 Club and Tommie Gunn, Phoenix fireman for 25 years. Our guests will be able to provide a snapshot of what life is like behind the badge as well as provide information about supports that are available to first responders and their families.
